Sparerhof - TERLANO

Service fantastic, great food, relaxed and friendly atmosphere! Eat inside or out in the lovely garden. Definitely recommended!

My GF and I had the opportunity to stay and dine last week. Located in the more Germanic area of Italy it offers the attention to detail you would expect. High quality across the board. From the perfect cold beer with a small sandwich as a snack to the great cappuccino in the AM. The real deal is dining. We were told by the winery (terlano) to stay there. We figured we should eat there after hearing some of our colleagues rave about the food. I would say the rave should be taken up a notch. Andreas is a great charismatic owner who makes you feel welcomed and guides you down a path of showcasing the seasonal ingredients very well. Fortunately, it was white asparagus season and we went full tilt! The dish of gourmet (a designated quality rating) white asparagus with shaved ham and sauce Bolzano was ethereal. I had never had anything like it and definitely over ate. The Branzino was also perfectly cooked with crispy skin and moist flesh and of course the asparagus. I need to mention the Gnocchi risotto too as both were among the top we had in all of Italy. Great wine list and he has a big list other than the one that comes to the table, not sure why you would need it as the white selection features the best of Terlano. We stayed two nights and ate there both evenings.

We were guests at the Hotel Sparerhof and ate here both nights. Food was excellent and great value. We tried the house white from the local winery which was fantastic. Please eat here, you won't be disappointed! The four course daily menu is great value and was delicious. Loved the starter of potato pancakes and poached egg. The pork chop with sage butter was some of the nicest I have had.
