Madisons New York Grill & Bar

This upscale restaurant has a beautiful interior design, but unfortunately, the staff were unprofessional. I was disappointed when they asked customers to "show some love" while taking a group picture.

I wanted just a quick meal so ordered only a baked potato and a drink.The waitress was missing after that, got my snack, no offer of water, had to chase after her for sour cream.She was however very attentive to a larger table with several people who were ordering bigger meals. So basically if you are not going to order a large meal, go elsewhere as the service sucks!

Ok. So we went a Tuesday evening (at around 6.30 pm). The place was empty, but we thought we'd pretend it was happening by sitting in the bar section, which was nice (except for the part where the waitresses are just joking around and telling each other I don't know what about I don't know whom; while the maître d' was sitting at some random table by the entrance just writing stuff down and doing I have no idea what all the while we were there. in plain sight).I had been a few times already, and I preferred Bâton Rouge, but people kept telling me Madisons was cheaper for the same. Uh. Maybe at once, but not anymore.No tâble d'hôte, no specials, no nothing. Expensive prices for ordinary-looking plates. Strict-mimimum type of service (like. don't ask, don't give, sorta).We ordered 2 ribs plate (just the regular stuff with fries and coleslaw). Super speedy service. It would definitely had taken me a lot longer to cook ribs at home. And the improved coleslaw is amazing. I would have wanted more but wasn't sure I could for free (it's the kinda place they charge for every cola refills, although we all know it costs them less than 0,25 $ a pop).Out by 7.10 pm (and that's because we tried to stretch the experience and chat). No kidding. I'm ready to go to sleep now.So sorry, but the competition is kinda really close by. Go there (or, Madisons: try and improve a little bit on the professionalism of your staff, ambiance, and, well, lower your prices if you ain't raising the bar).

The food was delicious and well cooked, but the customer service was not excellent.

The server with curly hair was impolite, did not smile, and had a bad attitude. It took a long time for him to bring me a menu.
