Írjon visszajelzéstCharming café in the heart of town. I stopped by for lunch and was initially unsure about how to place my order. However, I soon realized that most of the food is prepared in the back, and you can serve yourself. The daily specials are offered cafeteria-style, while the rest of the menu is displayed on a large whiteboard on the wall. There’s a great variety to choose from! I had Gene's Meatloaf, and it was delicious. I will definitely return to try the homemade cakes!
I love every opportunity to visit Kountry Kitchen! The food is consistently delicious and properly cooked. The eggs are simply amazing, they must be farm fresh, much better than the chain breakfast places. I love her chicken roasted steak and chicken. Vegetables are always delicious. Bacon is the real deal, not this thin, flimsy miserly bacon you get at other breakfast places. Servers are great, and the crowd is always beautiful. Not a place where the loud fraternal crowd hangs. Great food, whether you get breakfast or lunch all day. My only complaint is that they close at 2:00 and are not open on Sunday. Since I've been working out of town where I can't eat often. If I worked in town, I'd eat there three times a week.
For first-time guests, here's a helpful tip to avoid looking as clueless as we probably did: you can seat yourself, and the menus are located on either side of the table. I appreciated that they served us water before taking our order, as it was a warm morning, and having something to drink right away was a nice touch. We opted for burgers instead of breakfast to play it safe, and we were not disappointed. Overall, the staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, the food was excellent, and the prices were incredible. Our meal cost less than a fast-food meal, but the quality was far superior. If you're looking for quality food at an unbeatable price, you should definitely check this place out. We've decided to make it our new Saturday tradition and will be returning soon!
Chicken fried steak (tender and not preformed -with lots of good gravy), real mashed potatoes, seasoned pinto beans. All were delicious. The cornbread was sweet, which I don't prefer. It was very warm in there, BUT worth it!! Charming old building.
We have eaten there in the past but currently it's no longer open. It has brown paper covering the windows. It's a shame, I sure do miss it. One interesting fact is it was used in filming the movie Steps of Faith.
