Big Jake's Bbq - Texarkana

This place has a really cool vibe, almost like dining in a family home due to its charming decorations. I enjoyed my first meal in Texas since 2010 there.

The food was excellent and generous, as always. I had a sloppy joe along with a potato and fries. However, I'm not a fan of the salt they sprinkle on the fries.

I travel extensively throughout the Texas triangle for work, sampling meals at the top 50 BBQ restaurants, along with many others. I must say, this restaurant stands out as exceptional. Among all the BBQ spots in Texas, they serve my absolute favorite large chopped beef sandwich, as well as the best pinto beans, which are complimentary when you dine in. Their loaded baked potato with chopped beef is also my top choice. Not to mention, the turkey and chicken are outstanding. The BBQ sauce ranks among my top five favorites. I've dined here dozens of times, and each visit has been a pleasure.
