The Dixie Diner - Texarkana

This place is WONDERFUL! They now serve breakfast and it is fantastic. The grits are the best I've ever tasted. The breakfast tamales are wonderful! And the smiling service can't be beat!

Southern comfort food. Some from a can some homemade. Never had anything I or my wife didn't like. Get the BIG BOY...nuff said.

Homemade rolls cornbread. Wonderful fluffy hot dinner rolls and cornbread come with the order. The large glasses of sweet tea and bread make it worth going, I have had chicken fried steak, chicken, pot roast, chicken spaghetti, meat loaf, hamburgers, and even catfish. This is home cookin right down to the homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. Green beans are seasoned very well here. Not at all bland like some restaurants. Most dinners range in price from $7 to $10. Last time I went was back in . he summer. A burger and homemade fries was about $6. Oh, and they have a really good banana pudding!!

Good food. I have been going to DDiner for many years, their food is good (not wonderful but good). I have always liked their pan fried Sirloin, mashed taters from scratch with brown gravy. Don't recommend their green beans as they are always waterlogged. Have never had a problem with service.
