Cafe De China - Thanet

Recommended on the day by a local (McDonald's worker) the food was great, pick 4 dishes for £10.90 and every dish was exceptional tbh. Not the usual place I'd walk in, but we're glad we did. Wasn't busy at all.

The waiters were very rude to us. When we were about to order our food, they told us to get up from the table in a rude manner because there were reservations for people waiting for that table. They should be more polite. I feel like she is racist.

Horrible and racist staff, would never step foot in this place again! We just came into the restaurant. We were completely ignored by the first waiter and he went and attended to the people behind us. We then found a table OURSELVES and another waitress came and asked how many people were here to dine. There were 4 of us and then she told us to sit down. 2 mins after we sat down, she asks us if we had a reservation, we did not. She then told us to get up and leave the restaurant. I was shocked with her disgusting and rude behaviour and we promptly left. I am so happy that we did not spend our money in such a place. They should train their staff to be more welcoming and maybe a course in customer service since there clearly wasn't any! It won't kill anyone to mention that it's important to have a reservation or that their restaurant is full so they are not taking any walk ins at the moment. The complete absence of respect is surprising and I'm sure more customers will be put off visiting if this is what their staff is like.

My visit to China De Cafe was extremely dissatisfying. Upon arrival, the waitress seated us promptly. However, soon after, she inquired about a reservation, to which we did not have. When more customers arrived, we were asked to leave in order to make room for them. This behavior felt discriminatory and left me feeling deeply upset. It seemed as though we were being unfairly disregarded in favor of other patrons, which is unacceptable. I perceived her actions as racist towards us. Due to this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others.

Upon entering the restaurant, we informed the waitress that we needed a table for four. Although we were allowed to sit down initially, we were met with extreme rudeness when we began to look at the menu. We were abruptly told to leave simply because we did not have a reservation. While we understand that some restaurants operate on a reservation basis, the issue was with the manner in which we were treated and asked to leave. It would have been more appropriate for this information to be communicated to us before we sat down and started looking at the menu. Instead, the waitress's rude demeanor and humiliating dismissal made us leave quietly. We have no intention of returning to this establishment in the future.
