Le Macaron French Pastries

The gelato at this place is truly amazing, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Occasionally, they run out of ice cream cups, so you end up having to enjoy your gelato from a coffee cup. At times, there might also be a shortage of spoons, prompting you to "borrow" one from a nearby shop. While there are some friendly and apologetic staff members, there are also moments when you might deal with someone who's defensive and unhelpful. Nevertheless, the quality of the gelato makes it all worthwhile!

What a wonderful way to kick off the year! Le Macaron French Pastries is the ideal spot for your dessert cravings. Their menu boasts a variety of treats, including macarons, pastries, gelato, and even artisanal chocolates! As ice cream lovers, we couldn't resist trying their gelato. Each of us selected a different flavor: Vanilla, American Cookie, Peanut Butter, and Passion Fruit, and they were all amazing. The macarons were incredibly tempting as well, and I just had to try the Lavender flavor. It was one of the best I've ever had—light and delicately infused with a hint of lavender. I highly recommend it! I can't wait to return and sample their other macaron flavors, and their fine chocolates are also on my list for a special occasion. A small gelato costs $5, but I can't recall the price of the macarons. There's plenty of outdoor seating available, although parking at One Paseo can be a bit challenging—walking is a great option if you live in the area. In summary: Outstanding macarons, delicious gelato, and irresistible chocolates!

The gelatos here are exceptional! My family loved the pastries and specialty chocolates as well. We even brought home a macaron cake, and it was absolutely delightful!

The seasonal macaron flavor was pumpkin, and it was absolutely amazing. The birthday cake flavor was just as delightful. We tried red velvet, chocolate, tiramisu, and strawberry kiwi, and every one of them was fantastic. There's something much more satisfying about enjoying a few luxurious macarons instead of settling for a larger, cheaper cake that doesn’t taste as good. Our macarons came in a standard clear box, but we were also offered a gift box option. In the future, if I need a gift for someone or want to bring a treat to a dinner party, I think a dozen of these macarons in a gift box would be the perfect choice.

I had a fantastic experience with the delicious macarons and the exceptionally courteous service provided by Astha. I placed a delivery order, and the prices were quite reasonable. I also appreciated receiving a confirmation text for my delivery. This is my go-to bakery for macarons in Del Mar, University City, and La Jolla.
