The furnishings and decor design are exactly fitting to the establishment. Servitors are highly trained and beautiful people to talk too. The food was immortalized in my mind of how well it complimented the area and the availability of produce. It makes me so happy to see such a great vision beginning. In a world of fast food and pizza these days. this establishment emphasizes the the reasons why we chefs and foodies and family come together to celebrate culture. The price of the dishes reflects the price of the experience of the staff. It is quite cheap for the level of experience.
I have heard a lot of good things about this place that it is a must visit when up North. I wasn't disappointed. With lovely views, a relaxed yet classy ambience and friendly service, the food was also great and presented beautifully. Everything was tasty and seafood fresh. The big breakfast waa truly a BIG breakfast! In the evenings it could be more romantic the menu sounds delicious.
Nice cosy restaurant and good ambience which makes it perfect for a romantic outing. It seasonally get busy though and can get loud at times. The service is attentive. Make sure you book in advance because something they are packed to the brim. A nice place for both lunch and dinner and close to the water but the food was just ok, not great for the pricing.
Ring in the Labour day long weekend. We take ourselves to up to the central coast and as you would have it, we were starving by the time we got there. Heard and read about this establishment and thought of giving it a try. The restaurant is across the road from a lake, popular fishing spot amongst the locals and not so locals. However, I must say one thing, the view the restaurant is very deceptive. It's not as amazing the photograph suggests but still nice. Not a huge minus but an ever so slight one.I have heard this place is one place on the coast to try and we weren't disappointed! This place had an inviting interior. Nothing majorly outstanding but streamline and pleasant. What counts the most is the food they serve, and it's reasonably priced. We ordered the wagyu beef burger with kumara fries, beer battered fish and chips and crispy pork belly. The most outstabding dish was the wagyu beef that was extremely flavoursome and tender. The fish and chips were fresh but the pork belly relied too much on the sauce and the meat lacked flavour. The price for what the central coast considers upmarket is really reasonable. For three people, it came to $65. That's so good for good food and fast service. You could also go for their banquet, 3 courses for $38. If I was in the neighbourhood, I would come back here and try some of their other stuff. It was such a fantastic experience. I can see why people are raving about this place.
My husband and I had our wedding reception here in March 2015...it was the first place we checked out and immediately put a deposit down! <br/ <br/ We love coming here for brunch...I was just disappointed at the last time I had the crispy skin pork belly...it wasn't crispy at all : but usually ok... Coffee is good as well!
