Fyssalida - Thessaloniki

Great food, both meat and fish selections, adequate wine list and good prices. A very value for money place that should not be missed when traveling to Thessaloniki.

I have to say either the food is not qualified or the price level is not justified. One of the most disappointing “gourmet” restaurant in town, at least for this visit. We ordered 11 dishes, 4 appetizers 5 main and 2 dessert, which I think covers a lot of the menu for a fair evaluation. The dishes are classic and simple, not bad but not anything special. The light of the restaurant is cold dim, the music sounds rather random, and the service is not as professional as gourmet level. I really wished it could have been better experience.

Big disappointment. We ordered various dishes and the ratio was 50:50, half the dishes were really bold with nothing to say and the rest were very good. However, when the prices are so inflated there are no excuses. On top of that the wine has a 100% markup which is extreme and unjustified. The desserts were really bad, in terms of presentation and flavor. The final blow cake from the restroom, it was flooded from the sewage system and you could not enter to do your job. When you are charging this amount of money your customers and try to compete with a dozen upscale restaurants in the city you got to address these issues from day zero. Not recommended.

The food was better than expected. Really good, hope it stays that way.

Great place, great service, delicious dishes! It is a must visit.
