Thai Chillout Restaurant - Thirroul

We placed an online order for takeout, but there was a mix-up as they did not have a record of it. However, the wait was not long and when our order was ready, the chef personally came out of the kitchen to apologize for the delay. To make up for it, she gave us an extra portion of food and even offered my young grandchild several chocolates from the display case. What a kind gesture! As for the food, it was excellent - we enjoyed rice, vegetarian spring rolls, and tofu with chili. Overall, a great dining experience!

That is a restaurant with a large escaping area that eat is great, the service is always wonderful, dishes are very cheap,

I believe we dined at a different restaurant from others who may have valued it more. Our service was quick and courteous. The Massaman Bark was delicious, the Pad See Ew was fantastic, and everyone enjoyed the Red Curry Duck. The portion of rice was generous and perfectly cooked. I would definitely dine there again.

The fundamentals of Thai cuisine were severely lacking at this restaurant. Our food arrived almost an hour late and was cold. The salad was filled with tough gristle and lacked any flavor. We were charged extra for spring rolls that were bland and only consisted of vermicelli noodles. The pad thai was burnt and had chunks of burnt garlic. We were unable to pay with a credit card and had to scramble to find cash. When we called to inquire about our order, the staff were unhelpful and clueless. This was the worst dining experience we have ever had, and we strongly advise against eating here.

Thai Chillout was always our favourite also. Have been eating there for several years. Change of owners and now it isn't the great food or service it once was. The food has been extremely ordinary and have been asked to purchase over $25 to use...eftpos or else pay cash !!! Time for a change !!!!
