The Dam Pub Gastropub - Thornbury

Was in on a weekend drive through the area The cozy pub is filled with friendly staff and delicious food.

This is my favorite pub in Thornbury Excellent food especially the steak andKidney pie. Great choice of beers and an amazing selection of Whiskey.

Stopped by here mainly to try some whiskey, but decided to try some foodI had the fish and chips, which were perfectly cooked and tasted great.

The establishment has street appeal with patio and the building itself. Now, the 855 scotches are interesting. If they’ve missed any, they are very obscure. We had draft and wine with an excellent cheese plate and an order of sweet potato fries that were very tasty. The staff as a whole were great and our server was the best. She even accommodated a couple who just wanted to look over the Scotch menu, even offering water as they read. The Shepard’s pie at the next table looked awesome. Stop in, you’ll love it.

We called an hour in advance to reserve a table inside, but they were fully booked. However, they were able to accommodate us outside. When we arrived, they were able to switch us inside, and I was able to enjoy my meal without any bugs. The service, from the server to Chef Suzette, was outstanding. The lamb shank, fish and chips, burger, and pasta were all delicious. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant.
