Írjon visszajelzéstExpensive and bad food. Steamed dumplings- not hot enough, taste ok. Smoked fish- not so good, Fish Granules with Pine Nuts- good, Pressed Bean Curd- bad with stinky/rotten shrimp. Very Expensive, I will not go again. You can get most of their dishes from supermarket, Heat it. The test will be similar or better, but way cheaper.
When I think of Shanghai food, this is the place I went. They have the traditional shanghai style dim sum and dishes. My mom likes their cold dishes : spice smoked fish and drunken chicken. I like the rolled onion pancake with sliced beef. They are very tasty. The only thing as they have only one server so go there if you have enough time to wait, otherwise I recommend this place for shanghai food.
What a nice surprise! This restaurant serves authentic Huaiyang cuisine, which is one of the Four Great Traditions of Chinese culinary heritage. Many westerners heard about Shanghai cuisine, which is actually not as big as Huaiyang cuisine in Chinese culinary culture. At the end of this review, I copied/pasted some background information from Wikipedia about Huaiyang cuisine for those who are interested in traditional Chinese culinary heritage. The dishes we had were not only authentic Huaiyang cuisine, but also top quality. It is hard to find such a delicacy even in China. The service was very good as well, the two ladies were friendly and attentive. We would certainly go back the next time we visit Toronto. The dishes we ordered were: salty duck cold appetizer sweet and sour smokey fish cold appetizer stir fry fish with pine nuts Award winner hard tofu slices pot Award winner There are many Shanghai style dim sum we would like to try next time. It can be a little expensive if one prefers the award wining dishes, but I think it is well worth the while. If one is interested in Shanghai style dim sum, it is not expensive. Wikipedia Huaiyang Cuisine Huaiyang cuisine simplified Chinese: 淮扬菜; traditional Chinese: 淮揚菜; pinyin: Huáiyáng cài is one of the traditions in Chinese cuisine. It is derived from the native cooking styles of the region surrounding the lower reaches of the Huai and Yangtze rivers, and centered upon the cities of Huai'an, Yangzhou and Zhenjiang in Jiangsu province. Although it is one of several sub regional styles within Jiangsu cuisine, Huaiyang cuisine is widely seen in Chinese culinary circles[1] as the most popular and prestigious style of Jiangsu cuisine—to a point where it is considered to be amongst one of the Four Great Traditions 四大菜系; Sì dà càixì that dominate the culinary heritage of China, along with Cantonese cuisine, Shandong cuisine and Sichuan cuisine.
This restaurant doesn't have many customers, so it's easy to find a seat. The food is okay, but the set lunch is a good deal as it includes a soup, your choice of main course, and a bowl of rice. Other dishes like beef roll, hot and sour soup, and spring onion cake are also tasty. The prices are reasonable.
This restaurant offers amazing Dim Sum and delicious food at a reasonable price. If you value quality over appearance and are looking for healthy, affordable, and tasty options, this is the place to go. You won't be disappointed.
