On the Turps Bar & Restaurant

We ate here every night of our stay and enjoyed every meal. When you consider the logistics of running a restaurant in this difficult and remote location, you realize that it is excellent!

We had a great meal here and sat in possibly the most scenic seats u could. The service was terrific and the meals were filling, delicious and well priced.

Myself and my partner had dinner here on our first night in Cape Trib. The atmosphere is amazing sat looking over the rainforest surrounded by nature. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. I'm vegetarian and there was a good selection and the food was delicious. My partner eats meat and for once my meals were better than his. He ordered a steak which he'd asked for medium-rare and it arrived very rare and also very fatty so unfortunately he left the majority of it. The waiting staff never asked how the meal was so unfortunately he wasn't given an opportunity to give feedback (although he should have mentioned it he didn't want to which is his own fault!). All in all it was a good meal and we would go back in the future but definitely wouldn't order the steak.

In a lovely location at the Heritage Lodge and Spa in the Daintree, the restaurant has a limited menu, but the food is excellent and the service is friendly. It is a bit pricey.

Simply the best meal I have had in 6+ years living in the Daintree, prepared to perfection with perfect portion size for me, so much so that we ordered sweets something I never do. Attentive and appropriate service from waitress Kristi rounded off a great experience, the birthday gift by owner Vicki was much appreciated. The location, on the bank of Cooper Creek is stunning and just one more ace that sets this restaurant way above any others in the area.
