It sounded like the band in our room. In any case, we were not notified of a wedding that we were not part of during our stay. And there is no escape. This is a small plant that would not have paralyzed the volume of the band. It played from 3:30 5:00 in warm up and 7pm to past 1:00. I asked how long the band would play and the hotel staff was surprised that there were people at the hotel who were not part of the wedding. At 12:15 a.m., the hotel staff knocked at our door and invites us to have drinks on them and a free breakfast in the morning. No, thanks. What we wanted was back our night.
This is an aesthetically beautiful place, the nest and the foot of a rocky hill surrounded by a citrus orchard. The rooms are comfortable but a little on the small side. We were assigned a room near the reception because we had heard that the rooms were loud near the restaurant. It was not a good choice when the phone at the reception ringed all night and the people we checked in and out at any time of day and night. Hello. When the restaurant and the bar closed, the staff gathered there after work and chat until late in the evening and finally left at 12 midnight. The walls were thin and I had very disturbed nights. I got up early and was on my way early and hired a horse. The horses are in good condition and I enjoyed a nice ride through the orchard. We are one night in the restaurant and ordered oysters, they were fresh and plump and were served with a strange carbon reduction that was literally coal. The waiter said the cook would serve them only. It was terrible and I could not understand why you want to ruin a perfect natural oyster. We went to Deckmans and had a great meal. I was looking forward to a hot tub in the evening, but it was cold like the pool so in winter it was too cold to use. The hotel is close to all great wineries and the day we played a great jazz band. Unfortunately, the restaurant staff refused to turn off the music in the restaurant, so we both heard. This place has so much potential, but it simply does not seem to run properly and misses the brand in terms of service despite individual effort from some of the employees.
