Grandstand Grille - Timonium

A seriously hidden gem in timonium. I have to say it was on a runway that kept me away. but as soon as I found it, I was surprised how nice nick’s is. very large bar, many tables and hightops. service was spectacular and eating was great. it is connected to the otb by a series of doors, but they would never know that it was an otb except the few self-service machines. definitiw regret it not to check nicks earlier, and it is certainly added to my repertoire!

At the first visit of nick’s grandstand grill. our server was very friendly and welcoming and was helpful in our food selection. we decided to start with **** mary’s and they were delicious! they gave us a crash of the day specials and we chose the crab balls and meat balls. I have to say that I had no high expectations because I'm really critical in that, because I'm cooking in another restaurant, but I was blown away from the crabs. they were amazing! there were 8 of them for only $6. only the correct amount of broth and full of lump collar. in my mouth melted! the meatballs were okay. we will definitely return soon to some other elements on what looks to be a great menu! Stop it!

Went for the special National Meatball Day celebration it was great! I had Italian Wedding Soup and the Meatball Sandwich and took home meatballs and sauce for another day and a Cannoli for dessert the meatballs were great plus I had a glass of Chianti and I'm not a fan of Chianti usually but this was very good I'll have to go back to try the regular menu Kudos to Chef Gino excellent food!!!!

Visiting the area from out of state and wanted to try authentic Maryland crabcakes. They were delicious! Nice, casual atmosphere. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant and FABULOUS food.

Nick's is an amazing hidden gem! It's conveniently located next to the OTB at the Timonium State Fairgrounds. The crab maize chowder is thick and packed with crab—absolutely the best $8 I've ever spent! The fried oysters were fantastic as well. You can enjoy betting or watch the ponies on the TVs scattered throughout the restaurant, or you can head over to the OTB. The security there makes sure you feel safe and can enjoy your meal in peace. Where else can you have that kind of experience? Give it a try today!
