Tooradin & Districts Sports Club

We visited for lunch after not being here for a while. It is a great meeting place halfway each for my parents and brother and my daughter husband and I. Good kid's room and good food. Panko crumbled calamari was nice, lamb thanks plentiful but just ok. A lot of fat and one better cooked than the other. Cajun chicken was small serve and they had run out of corn fritters. Flake was good and husbands rib eye was okay but not outstanding. New fitout looks good with the booths and new comfy chairs and staff very friendly.

Have been here quite a few times. Celebrated a family birthday here and of the eight meals ordered not one complaint. One of the party stated "the best rib eye ever". The kids meals were good but the best idea ever has to be the Under 14's special steak which our grandson enjoyed. Drinks were good. Prices what you would expect and the service was excellent. As we stated in previous reviews will return. In all a very pleasant club.

Have been to the Sportsmans Club on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed whatever we have ordered to eat. Great atmosphere and staff are always friendly and attentive. Love getting value for money. Give it a try & please bring back the roast pumpkin salad with Chicken when the warm weather returns- yummy.

Our first visit to the Sportsmans Club was in 2005 and it was so good we returned with friends. Then after a really poor meal on a grotty tablecloth full of dead insects, which was changed at our request, we didn't return until 2016. That meal was very good however last week's experience was mediocre. I asked for a cocktail menu and was told it was being created so no cocktails available. Our entree of oysters was very fresh and lovely but the seafood platter I followed with wasn't. The prawns were very chewy and the batter on the flake was soggy. The scallops were delicious and salmon was ok, but generally it wasn't anywhere near the quality of the seafood platter I had on my first visit. We know the Sportsmans Club can create a wonderful atmosphere with truly delightful food, but it's inconsistent and not a place we can rely upon, sadly.

I go here every friday for dinner with my partner and his family, great atmosphere, great staff and tasty food. we all catch up what has gone on during the week over a fee drinks and a nice delicious meal
