Charlie's - Toorbul Point

This hotel used to have no buisness but They have refurbished the hotel which is great as the buisness has picked up. The down side they are very hit and miss with the food ..one night it's ok and then on other nights the food is terrible ..they need to improve on the meals to keep customers coming back

We were a little put off by the outer appearance and initial entry through the bar, but in the Bistro we found great service, good value and a very enjoyable meal. Really reasonably priced bottle of house wine, great flavour and enjoyable rissoto special. Comfortably nice atmosphere. Could not fault and would happily return.

Lovely food and decor. Great menu with some thing for everyone. We went for the roast which came with Yorkshire puddings and cost $10.

After a bad experience at a different restaurant the night before it was lovely to have a good meal at Charlie's. The staff were great and the food tasty and great value. My only complaint is that our main courses were brought out before we'd finished eating our entree's but we found that to be the case in other restaurants on our trip. The garlic prawns were to die superb as was the apple crumble.

Food is ok but nothing special, prices are a bit high for what you get but its ok for a pub meal. Ambiance is alright.
