Phatburgers - Toowoomba

I recently tried Phat Burgers at the Northpoint Shopping Centre at 520 Ruthven St, as I had been wanting to give them a try for some time. I ordered the full sized Van Helsing for $15, and it was prepared while I waited. It didn't take them long to cook, and the end result was impressive. I have often found that a good burger should be drippy and messy to eat, and with the beetroot relish on this one, I got plenty of mess, but it was well worth it. I was impressed that a burger this big didn't just fall apart, especially as the bread roll was light and crisp. The service was friendly and efficient. My full sized burger was about 8 inches across (20cm),so most folk would probably only want a mini burger, so check out the size before ordering, as it is too good to waste. Their menu states that they are licensed, and have vegetarian and gluten free options.

So this gem was a total surprise. Driven in by the rain I saw the genius burger menu and was shocked to eat one of Southern hemisphere's best burgers.Eatability excellent (didn't even consider a knife and fork!) none of this trendy nonsense 14 inch tall burger you can't get your mouth around.Flavour (totally delicious with the right amount of absolutely everything) Price (seriously good value actually I'd say cheap for the quality) Service (delightful people) Ambience (it ain't romantic but the music is terrific and the food is totally yummy) What more could you want!!??

Service was friendly and prompt and there was a very small amount of waiting time. I got the Redneck and my wife got the Phoenix. Both burgers were well put together but messy to eat, a small price to pay for such a good quality burger. Anyone travelling to or through Toowoomba who love a good burger should definitely try Phat Burgers!

Amazing Burgers, made with generous servings of lovely fresh ingredients, and even the small burgers are huge! The variety of choices on the menu is huge and they are happy to omit/add ingredients to accommodate your taste. We have been to both stores and were very happy with the service and burgers at both.

Chips were great, burger was ok, but I was really disappointed in the service. Not only did it take more than 20 minutes to make a standard burger, three people that ordered after me were served first. Really disappointed guys :(
