The floors were so sticky my shoes literally stuck to them. I tried not to move around too much because I couldn't move my shoes from the sticky floor. My menu had gross sticky messes on them, inside and out, see photo. Food was just okay. I had the chicken green curry and it was mostly green peppers and onions. The spring rolls were about the size of your pinky finger. The chicken and the green curry dish was weirdly gelatinous and soft, I'm not even sure it was chicken. When we sat down at our booth, there were sticky spots and grease all over the table that was visible. The entry doors and the fish tank were so disgusting with dirt and fingerprints, I used my sweater to open the door. There is no excuse for this, and makes a terrible first impression! This restaurant needs to clean up, before I would ever return to this location!
This is just sushi in a grocery store. Misleading listing.
We sat around the hibachi table and ordered. Our cook was very calm and docile, other people got a lively cook singing, engaging and having a great time. The food was kinda one dimensional mostly teriyaki. The calamari was rubbery but swordfish, shrimp and steak were cooked to perfection.
Spent 100.00 on the worst sushi ive ever had. First I was told it would be 20 minutes and it was 40 minutes. Got the sushi home and was shocked at how small the pieces of nigiri were for the price they charge. Octopus was spoiled, Red snapper wasnt red snapper it was tilapia, salmon was off, spider roll was soggy and had a brown sauce dumped all over it giving it no chance to being good and the rice just plain sucked. Also you would think there would be some kind of garnish in the 100.00 take out but nope just some spoiled fish on bad rice with dry wasabi and packets of low sodium soy. If you want good sushi your gonna have to head south to Portland or if you dont have time go to Little Tokyo in Brunswick its not great but its better than Kume thats for sure!
A good Japanese restaurant with a giant, red sumo wrestler sculpture outside and an eye catching unexpected interior decor has an amazingly large varied menu. The variety of appetizers would have made a satisfying dinner but we also wanted to try the entrees: Chicken Soba Noodles, Sushi Sashimi, Fried Rice and the Tempura selections....Everyones favorites proved very good!
