C'era Una Volta - Torino

A very quirky restaurant in an old building on the first floor in a lovely setting. We chose from the A la carte menu and had very good pasta followed by very tender meat. A very nice experience on our first night in Turin.

I went there with a group of colleagues for a business dinner. The food, in particularly the veal, was good (maybe on the expensive side, but that's ok). But they initially brought us wine bottles that were already opened. One was half empty... When the owner was notified, he promptly opened a new one, but the damage, with guests from all over the world, was done.

When we sat down we were not sure we were going to stay. So glad we did as the pasta bolognese and the Insalata mista were fabulous. The menu was in Italian and for us it was a little difficult to read but we had help from the server. The Chef came around to our table several times to make sure that everything was to our liking.

A good place to get Piedmontese cuisine, in a discreet environment and with few tables; a great and friendly service, to recommend absolutely the degotation of the menu.

Original and welcoming place, typical cuisine on which I have definitely found the quality of the first products, but to perfect in the recipes that had remarkable basic defects.
