The baking is good but their ‘service’ model is so very poor. I’ve .. tried .. to drop in So Many Times and they are.. rarely open. Not so bad If I knew ..What their hours were. Not posted on the window! Have advised them to do this .. more than once.. they don’t care!! .. haven’t bothered.Add to the fact that they also have No! business name .. displayed anywhere.. on the storefront!! The chalkboard in the window says: Patisserie. The Only way I found the name to review was via a neighbour business owner pal… who knew it’s called Barbershop Patisserie. And, who knows when it’s actually .. open!?So .., lazy and disrespectful to customers…ummm… former customers.
I love everything I tried from this bakery! I commute all the way from North York to this bakeshop for their delicious chocolate cake. I’ve been on a hunt for a good chocolate cake in the city, and their cake is exactly what I was looking for. The cake is indeed moist and the chocolate ganache is divine. Also, their lemon bichon and brown sugar peach danish are delectable. They’re sweet but the sweetness is balanced out by their flaky puff pastry. I’m not a huge fan of fruit-filled pastries but I’m so glad I gave them a try. I haven’t tried any of their savoury puff pastries but I’ll be sure to get them next time!
Next level cookies and pastries, both sweet and savoury. I planned to eat the mountain that I bought over the course of 24 hours and ended up eating them within 24 mins. You've gotta try them all!
The lemon bichon is amazing! I had an out of body experience eating it. Sweet, tart, bitter, caramelized. One of the best pastries I’ve ever had!
