We have been loyal customers of Koja for many years. The proportion of fish to rice in their dishes is always excellent, with a generous amount of fresh fish. The presentation is impressive and the quality is consistently high. The sushi rolls are always delicious, and for those who prefer something other than fish, the spicy chicken hot plate is a tasty option. After a meal at Koja, your stomach will always be satisfied!
Having been to Korea, we loved the food there. We were looking forward in experiencing some of the wonderful food that we had when we visited there and looked forward to KOJA. I ordered to bibimbad, the beef was tasty, however it did not have as many ingredients in the pot as I had in Korea, and unfortunately lacked that crunchy texture having cooked in the earthen ware pot. My husband had the bugoli, he said it was tasty and tender. The service was very good, the decor and restaurant are tired.
We came early on a Saturday night: we were the first people to arrive. The server seemed as if she didn't quite know what to do when customers arrive. This place is pretty informal. You can sit just about anywhere you want. The menu is confusing: too many options that are not clearly delineated. The food isn't all the good either. It is best to avoid the vegetable tempura. Rolls are just average.
This restaurant has consistently been excellent for years and is definitely a hidden gem worth visiting. The staff is friendly, the ingredients are fresh, and there is a wide variety of options on the menu. Every visit is always a great experience.
