Írjon visszajelzéstFirst time here for us and they have a new menu (no buffet as of July 2017). The food was outstanding, delicious and different enough to make it or stand out local Indian. Best samosa and onion bhaji ever. Attentive service too. My only complaint is, on a cold winter's night the shopping centre's automatic doors send a cold blast in every time someone passes.
Ok i have been their only once with families. i do love the taste of everything and their nice service. if they can serve with a bigger meal with the same price i will definitely go back again.
What a treat Joy of India. The freshest, most carefully prepared Indian food I've had in ages, & very friendly staff. Will definitely return.
Went there a few times for split the bill deal, Scoopon etc as they seem to have online deals all the time. I found the quality was not consistent as for one time I found the butter chicken was really nice but the next time it was so so, and that happened to a few other dishes too. So I don't think I will go again anytime soon.
After a hectic day of shopping we were glad we were booked into the Joy of India Restaurant for Dinner rather than have to cook for ourselves. We had an All You Can Eat Buffet Scoopon and although we are usually skeptical about these sorts of dining experiences we noticed that almost everyone was partaking of the Buffet. A couple sitting at the table next to us who had ordered from the menu said that next time they come they too would try the Buffet as that way they would get to try a wide range of dishes. The Scoopon also included a glass of wine each of either Red, White or Rose'. I chose the White Wine and Hubby who was designated driver asked if he could have a glass of Lemon Lime and Bitters instead and this was no trouble. The waiter explained that the only stipulation was that you could only use one plate each but that you could take that up to the Buffet as often as you liked. The Buffet was set on a long table in the front of the Restaurant and was served in Bain-Maries. We had Samosa and Chicken Tikka for Entree. The Samosa was large and very spicy. The Chicken Tikka was a little dry and was served on the bone. This made it difficult to dispose of the bone and we resorted to using a napkin to discard the bones. A plate on the table or extra napkins would have been helpful. I was particularly impressed to see that each of the mains had a heat rating of Mild, Medium or Hot, This was helpful for a family explaining to their children to only try a tiny piece of the Medium or Hot dishes and that they could come back for more if they liked it. For Main there was Steamed Rice and the usual favorites of Butter Chicken, Rogan Josh and Vindaloo. There was also a good range of other meat and vegetarian dishes and a Green Yoghurt Sauce as an accompaniment. We sampled each of the dishes and particularly liked the Butter Chicken and Rogan Josh. After trying each of the dishes we ensured we left enough room to sample the Gulab Jamun for Dessert which were a good size and served with a very sweet but yummy sauce. The Restaurant although small was not overly noisy considering the amount of people eating there. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The only downside was that the front door was had to distinguish from the other glass panels at the front and I observed several other people struggling to find the door to come in. Also the only toilets were the public toilets within the shopping complex and these were located a fair way down the mall. Overall though we had a very enjoyable meal at a place we normally would not have thought of coming to for Dinner.
