Crisp Dry - Torridge

I am 74 years old and worked in a fish and chip shop for 7 years before joining the military. In all honesty, I have to say that these were the worst fish and chips I have ever had. The fish was of poor quality and the batter was too thick and soggy. The chips looked and tasted as if they had been reheated from a previous frying. They were so terrible that I had to throw them away; even my dog refused to eat them! I would recommend avoiding this place.

We ordered takeout from this restaurant while staying at a nearby campsite. Unfortunately, the food was not enjoyable. The fish was passable but too greasy, and the chips were terrible - overcooked, dry, and lacking in flavor. The staff also didn't provide good service. I would not recommend this place.

The food was fantastic once again. Thank you for delivering it hot and tasting great. It was not greasy and enjoyed by everyone. I don't understand why some people complain about having to wait. Just give them a call and order in advance, it's not difficult.

Had fish and chips here and the chips were very poor had more bits of chips than whole chips, and they were dry and hard. The fish was ok. But definitely had a lot better, will not be returning.

We ordered large chips, jumbo bartered sausage, fish cakes and 1/2 pounder with cheese for delivery. The price was really good (suspiciously good), but unfortunately once we unwrapped it all (delivery driver was gone of course) I was confronted with the most disappointing burger ever, especially considering the £6 price tag. It was clearly a 1/4 pound piece of meat, hardly any cheese in it and no salad at all. Come on, a good big burger is not hard to get right!
