A great restaurant, very warm and welcoming, the prices are more than fair given the quality of the dishes which is totally excellent!! A real treat, I recommend!
We order every week with my darling and we love it! Inputs, frying are made home: it makes the difference widely with others who provide themselves in wholesalers type paris store. The dishes are delicious, the balanced flavors and also adapt to the veggie diet! We love marinated raw shrimps (which are also delicious if they are caught! The soup broth is really scented, in short, it's really a nice address! Look out if you're taking a bite, it's hot!
I went there twice so far and planning to go back, as I really like the atmosphere, and the food tastes amazing! I am vegan, and I have been easily catered for, and tofu has been used as a replacement. Service is also really friendly and relatively fast. The waiter gave us lots of fun Thai facts! Waiting time for food was reasonable. Just remember you can't use your credit card here, but cash machines are around the corner.
The Thai scene in France is slowly improving. Which means you can now find an alternative to the horrendous pan-"Asian places hitherto so common, advertising themselves as offering Vietnamese, Thai, Burmese, Chinese, and other Asian cuisine. Ugh! Anyhow, Baan Siam is the real thing. No Chinese, no Vietnamese, just real Thai. It's a small place on a quiet street off busy Rue Filatiers. I had green curry tofu and veggies, which I asked to be spiced "almost Thai-spicy", i.e, one level below. And they complied. It was very spicy, to the point where I cried, but not too much. Good flavor, could have been less liquidy. And for dessert I had a big portion of coconut ice cream. Friendly service, pleasant room. Would return.
