Barely big enough to fit in, this quirky and unique coffee/deli shop will be packed out with just 10 people inside. The two window seats are must haves if you come here. The have a specialty dark hot chocolate which they are known for, it's £5.50 and it is a treat. It's rich and thick. They also have a wide range of tea combinations worth trying out and a small cake selection. During a weekday afternoon its very peaceful. What you see on the inside is literally all there is to see. There is no toilets. The day I went they shut at 6pm. not 9pm as the listing says.

From the outside, this place looks more like a basket or fruit shop than a takeaway lunch place, but when you come in, you can see that it is a really sweet little sandwich and salad shop. The staff here is just adorable, because I looked hesitant when investigating the menu the owner offered me a little sample of the day’s special Thai Chicken salad. It was amazing! The ingredients used here are just so fresh and well put together. I cannot wait to come back and try their different salads and paninis. For under £6, a very standard price for an average lunch around these parts, you get nice gourmet salads and sandwiches made with high quality ingredients. Among the amazing stuff you find on the menu here include Bresaola with sunblush tomatoes sandwich, salami with grilled artichokes sandwich, and Chorizo, gorgonzola and sweet chilli sandwich. The portion does run on the small side so please be aware. Also, I always try to go to lunch during off hours to avoid the crowds.

The coffee, sandwich, and apple were all excellent at this restaurant. Despite the small size, the business's interior is cozy and charming, making it a wonderful place to enjoy a snack. The decor is also charming, and they also offer beautiful marmalades and specialty teas for sale.

Verde Company is a must-visit destination for foodies. I was intrigued to hear that they import Marcolini chocolate from Belgium, so I had to check it out for myself. The store itself is a treasure trove of jams, pâtés, spreads, sweets, and oils that sparkle like jewels. Walking into Verde Co feels like stepping back in time to 19th century France, with beautifully woven baskets hanging from the walls adding to the romantic atmosphere. I opted to try their famous hot chocolate, made by melting a block of Marcolini chocolate in steaming milk. It was a bit pricey at £5, but the experience of sitting at one of their stone round tables outside and sipping on the rich drink was worth it. Verde Company is a lovely place to indulge and would make a great spot to treat yourself or a loved one with a hot chocolate, a box of chocolates, or a delicious spread.

No matter where you wander in the city, you are bound to come across a quaint local cafe that just beckons you to come in for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake. After exploring the many lovely shops in the area, we needed to rest our tired feet and stumbled upon Cafe Verde. The cafe had beautiful wicker baskets hanging on the walls that caught our attention from the outside, leading us to venture inside. As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted by a display of jam bottles and a vase filled with flowers, illuminated by a soft, inviting light. It all looked so lovely and inviting.
