Írjon visszajelzéstThough this place is permanently closed, when they were operational they were awesome and they even sponsored a softball/baseball team my dad was on with his co-worker when I was little and I just want to say thank you for that and I still have my dads team shirt.
The thirsty monk is closed and reopened by new management. The General is the new bar owned by new management and I'm very impressed, brand new renovations, new menus, everything
Absolutely THE MOST UNDERWHELMED I've ever been by a restaurant. I was sort of embarrassed for our waitress. Nothing on tap. Minimal Ingredients in the kitchen. ALL the staff left at once to go for a cigarette. Is this place closing?
Something is going on with this place. It used to be a genuine gastro pub. Good menu. Decent selection of beers. I met friends there last night. The place was empty. We soon found out why. They had no beer on tap at all. Bottle service only. The size of the menu had also been drastically reduced. We ordered some pesto cheese bread. No pesto. The server did her best and improvised some cheese on toast and bruschetta for us. I ordered some nachos. They arrived both burnt and undercooked. Instead of salsa, they were topped with bruschetta mix. Bizarre. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. When we tried to settle up, we were told they had no debit or credit card capability. It honestly felt like we were in a restaurant teetering on final closure.
Popped in for a quick drink to this little hidden gem in the downtown core. Was presently surprised that the atmosphere is warm and appealing to all. We sat at the bar and were addressed right away by a girl who had great knowledge of the beer selection. Asked for a menu and everything is priced accordingly with beer specials listed in plain sight. This is what we like to see, no confusion. Ordered a Ceasar and a Whiskey Sour and were both delicious. Never tried the food but none the less, great service, atmosphere and drink selection.
