Jo-jo's Tavern - Trenton

For years I've heard about this place's employees, but never had an opportunity to visit. Lunch this week was excellent. Top-notch jersey burgers and good local brews in the trap. It's nice to see a long tradition with its reputation. Very recommended.

Have you sat here for Dave's 7.4 review. Dave. Was spot on and I would personally give it 7.5 for the peppercake. Also had the house salad, which also spot on and a 8.0. Service friendly and atmosphere Chill. Def recommended.

My wife and I were sitting in the bar yesterday. We are locals and we give this place a try so often. The experience of the last nights was the worst, although previous visits were not much better. The first problem is that this place is all packed in like sardines. There are more seating tables then parking available. We had ordered food in the bar and that was a challenge with the older female bartender. The young female bartender tried to help whenever possible. I had ordered the 18oz steak that came over boiled and slit. My wife? Salmon came over boiled and dry. When I complained about the steak, the bartender staff decided to escalate the situation instead of taking care of the situation. My wife and I say that no one has ever complained that the place is open all these years? For obvious reason, I said this was a lie and they need to learn customer service. There are many reviews of people who complain about eating and those who choose not to make publicly known? You should just stay on pizza and appetizers. At least that? What some of the guests said last night. Bad customer service and food were scenes of the entire bar and restaurant. The bartenders can feel good screaming at a customer, but at the end of the day the restaurant will lose business.

The very busy staff handled my party of ten with impressive ease and never seemed overwhelmed by our special requests. My soft shell crab sandwich was fresh, plump, and perfectly cooked without being overdone. I also loved adding avocado and bacon to it. Everything was beautifully done!

Jo Jo's is truly legendary! I visited for the first time in a long while, and I'm happy to report that nothing has changed—still fantastic food and excellent service. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. It's wonderful to see that some summer spots remain timeless.
