Sweet P's - Trion

We discovered Sweet P's four years ago and have made the drive from Ringgold many times just to enjoy a meal there. We are consistently impressed with both the food and the service, which are always excellent! The staff recognize us and greet us by name, making us feel like we're dining with friends every time.

During my lunch break, I was eager to try Sweet P's for the first time, but I was sadly disappointed. Upon entering, there was no one to greet us or take our order. My father and I waited at the register for a few minutes without a word from staff, so we decided to explore the buffet. At first glance, it was clear that the food had been sitting out for quite a while and didn’t look appetizing at all. Meanwhile, I was in desperate need of a restroom, uncomfortably shifting in plain sight as I searched for one that I never found. I was really looking forward to enjoying my meal in such an interesting setting, but instead, I left wishing I hadn’t come at all. I learned that a stylish building doesn’t guarantee a good experience.

The staff was extremely friendly. We opted for the buffet, and the food exceeded our expectations for typical buffet cuisine. Next time, we plan to try ordering from the menu. It's definitely worth a visit. Just a note: it seems they don’t provide tickets, so make sure to go to the register.

Ordered country fried steak. Meat was tough, way too much breading. Mashed potatoes were good. Over cooked Canned beans with limp bacon added. Corn on cob frozen not fresh, rolls good. Partner had ribeye steak. No seasoning and tough. Salad old. Service started out good but went downhill. No asking how it was or refill of drinks. Sat waiting for bill finally was told to go to register. Paid left then noticed overcharged for steak. Went back in and was told that prices had gone up. Manager said they hadn't had time to print new menus or fix website prices. Refunded my $4. Spent in excess of $40 for warmed up frozen and canned food. Do not recommend at all.

Food was great! Service was great! Friendly and unique atmosphere. Lots of yummy desserts to choose from.
