Panera Bread - Troy

It was a clean restaurant with delicious hot food, quick service, and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff made several anti-LGBTQIA comments and displayed racist behavior towards gender-neutral individuals, including myself and some transgender friends. I even witnessed a group of teens engaging in similar behavior during my lunch. My friends and I left immediately and have no intention of returning. That's my take on it.

The experience was quite frustrating. The waitress seemed more interested in her phone than in serving us. While we were waiting for our food, she was busy watching TikTok instead of delivering our order. It was disappointing to see her standing there, only calling our name when it was convenient for her.

Other than the food being slow to come out, everything else was great. The customer service and the inside is updated with ample space to sit without feeling to close to others.

So is it against store policy to have an employee smile? Holy moly I’ve seen more smiles at a funeral than in this brand new restaurant. Is it also to much to ask that they call your name when your order is ready too? Awesome to have cold soup because no one called my name. Half the soda selection was unavailable, dishes stacked up grossly high at the trash cans and no real direction on how this sorted deli style generic ordering system works?? I don’t know, could’ve dealt with cold soup if maybe one employee smiled??
