We were so happy to stumble across this gem of a pub yesterday in Tryon, NC, while out for a Sunday drive, exploring the countryside and little towns around Greer, SC on a beautiful afternoon. Genuinely warm, friendly atmosphere and staff. Ice cold beer and we were delighted to dip the yummy fries we ordered into their OH SO TOTALLY DELISH made-fresh-every-day Guinness gravy. (Not on the menu. Ask for it. We can 't wait to come back for a proper dinner and try the salmon, grilled chicken, or what promises to be the perfect hamburger, with a bazillion toppings to choose from. We noticed their calendar listed live entertainment most evenings of the week including open mic, trivia and various local bands and performers. We we 're paticularly happy to know that we could satisfy our cravings for traditional pub fare, as well as stick to a healthier plan with several options to choose from including grilled chicken, salmon, as well as asparagus and broccoli as side item choices.
We didn't know that it was a private club. But the manager was warm and welcoming. He did not pressure us into joining. He just said if we come back he would tell us more. The food and service was great. I only wished my fries and okra was a little less greasy. Also if you have a hard time with stairs, I would not recommend. Otherwise I really enjoyed it.
Charming spot with friendly staff and affordable drinks. Membership is required, or there's a $1 fee per person. Enjoy live music on Saturdays!
Fantastic dining experience! The food is excellent, and there are a wide variety of drink options available. The entertainment selection is also impressive! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Although it’s a private club, visitors can drop by and pay a small fee to enjoy food and drinks. Alternatively, for just $20 a year, you can avoid cover charges for the live bands that perform regularly. It’s definitely worth the investment!
