If you find yourself as the only outsider in the restaurant and the staff doesn’t typically speak English well, it's usually a great indication that the food will be exceptional. In this instance, it truly is out of this world! ERA is a must-visit spot in Tualatin!

Had the Birria en Caldo of El Ranchito Alegre for lunch today and it was ON POINT. The consome is authentic and richly spiced and the pieces of meat were huge with a good ratio of meat to fat and bones. There is nothing better for your soul than a slowly baked kiss. The homemade tortillas and salsas are also delicious. I can't wait to try anything!

This place is for Mexican food, at least in Tualatin and in what I've explored in Portland. How do I know the Birrie? So, it takes great ability to make a good Birrie and this place makes an incredible Birria. Put your hands down. Speaking of the hand made tortillas are the size of your face and delicious.

Legit, authentic, Mexican cuisine. I had the chicharrons y carne asada and it was amazing. It'll be back next time.
