Írjon visszajelzéstStopped here for dinner last week with my family and it was by far some of the best food AND service we'd had at a restaurant in a very long time. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I ordered the brisket and chicken fingers and my husband got brisket andpork. The waitress asked if we'd ever had the catfish before and since it was our first time there, we answered no. She thenoffered to bring us some to try at no additional cost and it was phenomenal. (We'll definitely be ordering it next time! I alsocouldn't decide between sides so she brought me an extra side. I was floored at not only the delicious food, but kindness of thestaff and our waitress especially. They've earned a fan for life and the next time we want BBQ, we know where we're going!
Got there a half hour beforehand close and the food was made fresh and so good
The staff were fantastic—very friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome. My wife ordered a two-meat combo with tabouli and baked beans, while I chose "The Assortment," which included chopped brisket, sausage, ribs, and catfish, along with tabouli and baked beans. The food was generally quite good. The sausage was definitely the highlight, with the catfish coming in a close second. However, the catfish was quite small, only lasting about three bites, which was a bit disappointing. The two ribs were fair; one was a bit dry, but the other was better. The brisket didn’t have much flavor and felt more like a filler. On the bright side, the tabouli and beans were excellent. As usual, my wife ordered more than she could handle and ended up eating only about a third of her meal, so I got to sample the pulled pork and bologna. Both were decent as well. The pulled pork had a good flavor but was somewhat dry, which seems to be a common issue. The bologna, on the other hand, was well-seasoned, lightly smoked, and thinly sliced. One thing I found unusual, given my experience at many BBQ joints, was the complete lack of BBQ sauce on any of the tables. Not a single table had a bottle of sauce, and the pulled pork could have really used it. I didn’t request any since I only had a few bites left, so I'm not faulting the server for that; it just struck me as odd. All in all, Billy Ray's is a solid option. I think the all-you-can-eat catfish would be worth trying since the one small piece I had was pretty good. Overall, it was a nice stop on our journey.
We ordered our food to go since the restaurant was extremely crowded. Although we had planned to dine in, we opted for takeout. The service was quick, and the food was fantastic, as always.
I always have a fantastic experience here. I appreciate both the food and the staff!
