Finally a really good Chinese spot in south Tulsa! New Royal Dragon is tucked away in a shopping corner, but it is definitely worth checking out. Our family has struggled to find a Chinese spot nearby that we like, and we are so glad we found this place. They are fast, friendly and accommodating. Inside has a vibe that they tried to really make it feel like a true Chinese restaurant. A lot of them around here feel just like they threw tables and chairs in but they don't want you sitting. At New Royal Dragon it is nice because they keep the waiting and pick up area separate from the dining area.I really love the lo mein here. It's never too salty but has great flavor. Also a big fan of the beef or chicken with broccoli. They have huge pieces of crisper broccoli and generous amounts of meat and the brown sauce is perfect.
Arrived within an hour of closing. Staff graciously served us. Appetizers and 3/4 entrees. Food freshly prepared, large portions and tasty. Party of 4 and everyone has lots of leftovers to take home. Understand, this food is old school Chinese, not new order Asian Fusion.Great for family and larger parties!
We ordered takeout. The hibachi chicken and hibachi shrimp are delicious! Very nutritious as they will make it with steamed vegetables and no sauce. Good for GF individuals! The order is always perfect! They are very busy. so you'll need to call order in 20-25 min in advance. Highly reccomend!
I am very happy to have discovered this restaurant. So far it is one of the 2 best Chinese restaurants I've found in Tulsa. Even though it's not fine dining, I am giving it 5 stars because it is so much superior to most of its competition in Tulsa. We were a party of 4. Most of us ordered from the lunch menu. The price for most items on the lunch menu was around $10. That includes soup, egg roll and dessert. Two of us got Kung Pau chicken, one got chow mein, and one broke rank and ordered off the lunch menu. Cathy got shrimp egg fu young that looked so good that it's going to make me break my habit of ordering from the lunch menu. She got 3 giant patties that were so light and crispy I had trouble controlling the urge to grab one off her plate. Dan and I enjoyed our Kung Pau Chicken. The servings were large enough that I couldn't finish dessert. It was spicy to our liking and totally fresh. This seems to be a new restaurant and it has a nice quiet atmosphere. The service was outstanding. Between the quality of food, the ambiance, and the excellent service, we had a most pleasant dining experience. I've learned that unless you go to fine dining restaurants, there's not much difference in price, but there is a huge difference in quality of food, service, and atmosphere. You might as well go for the best. I'm going back to New Royal Dragon.
