The Tavern Restaurant - Tulsa

It was Father's Day, very busy! We sat at the bar, our bartender was so much fun! Are food was good and service too. Affordable prices????????

Disappointing. Ordered the salmon and it had a purée that was a bit odd tasting. But what killed it were these inexplicable chunks of peppercorn that gave it an intrusive crunch you wouldn't expect with a smooth purée. The salmon itself wasn't anything special. For $27 I expect way better than that (or maybe a side? Honestly wasn't a very large plate of food). Our service was not particularly good either...after taking my plate it was a good ten minutes before he came back. Never asked how our meal was (I was ready to say it was disappointing), never offered dessert, never told us about specials. For the money we paid it just wasn't good. Calamari was interesting at least.

Very very cool place in the Brady district. I love their deviled eggs and the fact they put "buy beer for the kitchen" on the menu gives insight into their unique and progressive concept.

Neat atmosphere but overall I thought the Tavern was pretty pricey. My friend and I ordered the fish and chips to share and while it was good it wasn't anything special. The atmosphere was neat and I would return to try something else. Their drink selection is good and if you sit at the bar, the service is excellent.

Go after 9pm for the 1/2 off burgers! They're about $8 or $9 and SO GOODAnd worth it! Lots of beef and blissWhat a deal.
