Panda Asian Street - TURRAMURRA

The staff at the restaurant are incredibly friendly, but the food is quite disappointing! It tastes heavily processed and filled with MSG. If this lemon chicken contains more than 5% actual chicken, I would be surprised.

I'm not usually a fan of Chinese food, but as a Melburnian, I know Sydney is renowned for its Chinese cuisine. This restaurant is by far the best Chinese place I've ever visited! The food was excellent! However, the service could have been more attentive. We had a table of three for yum cha, and unfortunately, our table was situated behind a column, so we were frequently overlooked, which was a bit disappointing. On the plus side, the value was fantastic—we only spent $90 for the three of us!

Do you remember the Chinese food from Sydney in the seventies? If so, welcome to the Chinese Restaurant Dynasty. The dining room is quite small and feels worn out, and the service left something to be desired, even though the place was packed. Most of the diners looked like they’d been waiting for their meals since the seventies. The food isn’t bad and is reasonably priced, but there's really nothing to recommend this place aside from a touch of kitschy nostalgia. There are plenty of other Chinese restaurants in the area that are much better.
