Írjon visszajelzéstWe've been familiar with this restaurant for quite some time. Most of the time, the food is simply outstanding, but there have been occasions when we've received frozen seaweed salad, wild greens mixed into our salads, tasteless oysters, or soup that had an awful smell. The service can also be inconsistent; some days it's great, while other times it can be quite slow. That's why I’m giving it four stars.
While I won't claim it's the absolute best sushi, there aren't many places that can rival it. The location is somewhat generic, situated in a strip mall on the island, but everything else about it is exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted warmly and immediately notice the beautiful decor and perfect lighting. They also have a well-stocked sushi bar. If you look a little closer, you'll see the fish tank with live seafood options, which I found delightful! While I typically prefer sashimi or nigiri, I must say this place has won me over. The Toro, Uni, live lobster, shrimp, and abalone – they offer many delicious options. Stop reading and go eat, seriously! I can't wait to return!
I had my first visit to this restaurant, and I absolutely loved the food and service. While the prices aren't the cheapest, they're reasonable for the quality offered. The sushi and other dishes are both authentic and creatively prepared. The cozy interior and comfortable seating, along with ample parking, made for a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and professional, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. My friend mentioned that lunch can get quite busy due to the nearby business district, so I recommend visiting for dinner if you're looking to relax. The restaurant is closed on Sundays as the owner is Christian, which means they reserve their fish for Saturdays—making it the best day for generous portions in my opinion.
I spend a lot of time in a nearby business and after work I'm hungry, so I usually get food nearby. Quiznos closes super early like Starbucks, so it's really either Fresca's or Maki, unless I feel like getting in my car and driving, which means that I'm usually ordered for the entire store and that won't happen often. I order to go almost exclusively, but have eaten here a few times in the store before the store moves nearby. First impressions and thoughts were that the place almost doesn't fit. It's a corner center without real anchor, so it's mixed. Windows faces the wrong direction, less than ideal visibility. It is open, warm and welcoming with the shorter sushi bar style. The staff is welcoming, especially the boss, whose customer service is impeccable. Proposals, quality of fish and ingredients and construction. I found her sushi rice to be a little overcooked. Their cuts are very consistent. They place with a little more artistic flair. Offer all high-end options such as live uni the experienced are used. Light on the rice to let the fish shine, but the rolls are small, even the hand rolls. Fresh Wasabi. Comfortable, chairs and some intimate decor. When their salmon found to be solid and fat, tuna is soft and almost misusable with only the tongue. Table service might be better, it's usually ok, but sometimes I have to ask for water reps. The biggest reason why it is not a higher rating overall is the price. It is about 10-15% higher than other sushi in the area and it is not filling out. I ordered 3 reels to go and fall $44 top. I am impressed by the cilantro tuna, 911 and others, but it cannot justify eating here at these prices more than once a month. Their premium sushi is also very high in view of most sushi restaurants source from the same few providers and even the highest quality procurement for less. I can get live sweet shrimps from my fish dealer in San Diego by half.
