I'm a local and the food has never been great. I had a friend come from out of town and thought I would give them another try since it's a nice to sit by the water. Well, only thing that's changed was the prices. My friend got a wrap 12.00 she enjoyed I got a patty melt 14.00 was tasteless the bread to meat patty ratio was not even close one little piece of onion the bread was hard as a rock . I left the sandwich in pieces on the plate. No pickle no slaw a plate full of over cooked tater tots and a terrible sandwich. Guess they can keep making the money off the out of towners. I never made a big deal about eating out but, with what restaurants are charging they should be accountable for bad food or service. Two people for an average lunch is 40-50 dollars. I expected better food.
First time here. Very good fish sandwich. Lots of tater tots came with it. Friendly staff and very good service.
Everything in context. This isn’t the Four Seasons. But it is a sold choice for good, fairly-priced food with a great lakeside setting. Been going here off and on for 4 years and there have been some turbulent times, but I think the kinks are getting ironed out. Would like to give a shout out to the cute, petite server who is one of the hardest working women I’ve seen in a restaurant. I couldn’t make up my mind between the 2 specials so asked her to have the chef pick. And what comes out?? One of the options with a side of the other! Both very good. Cubano sandwich and the Mama’s Pasta ? . Would have either or both again! My only recommendation when you have a setting of that caliber, maybe paint the outdoor tables a subtle color that doesn’t chip. Maybe an overall subtle look inside and out that classes it up a bit…but then would it really be a “wild child”??
I want to start by saying Crystal was amazing and very kind. This review is not a reflection of her terrific customer service. My issue is with the food and the owner.I ordered a patty melt and tater tots. The bread was burnt. The burger was the size of a standard slider. The tater tots were freezer burnt. My food was given to me cold and in styrofoam by some man without saying a word and he did not introduce himself. The next day as I was going to board a boat on the dock, I attempted to walk onto the pier, I was blocked by the same man, he raised his voice at me and asked me where I parked. I told him I didn’t park anywhere, I did not drive there. He continued to yell and berate me about parking in his parking lot and threatened to tow me. I kept walking and was told that he was the owner of Wild Child’s.Two days later the same person, Ryan, again approached me as I was sitting on my friends boat and started yelling about parking in his lot again!I am not from Twin Lakes and was only visiting. He was rude, aggressive and threatening. Please be aware of his temper and be careful if you are around his establishment. The food is awful and over priced. Horrible experience. Very bad representation for Twin Lakes.
