Bubba Gumbo’s - Tybee Island

Our food and service were both excellent, with our meals arriving quickly and freshly prepared. The hush puppies were served hot, with a fluffy interior and crispy exterior, accompanied by delicious honey butter. The shrimp, sourced locally, was exceptional. We ordered half a pound of steamed shrimp, seasoned with a mildly spicy and buttery mix that was fantastic. The crab sandwich was fresh, with just the right amount of crabmeat and not too much bread. The drink selection was impressive, featuring a variety of microbrews. Our server was one of the best we’ve encountered—friendly and always attentive to our needs. If you're looking to enjoy local seafood by the water, this is an excellent choice. I recommend going now while it's still quiet!

This restaurant is truly remarkable. It's family-owned, the seafood is exceptionally delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly. I've never tasted gumbo as good as theirs, and the grouper was straight off the boat—simply unbeatable in freshness.

We had an amazing dining experience! The shrimp dinner, flounder dinner, and low country boil were all outstanding. The staff's attentiveness was exceptional as well. I will definitely be returning time and time again.

The steamed shrimp came off the boat that morning. So fresh. Never going back to eating store bought shrimp again!
