Doerfli - Uitikon

Waiter was excellent. We ordered 2 steak Tatar and a Filet Steak-Medium Rare. When the food arrived, I noticed my filet was an end-stuck shaped like a pyramid. It was only medium rare in the very center and everywhere else was overcooked. The edges were well done and dry. A disappointment for the price. I should have sent it back to the kitchen, but I did not want to complicate the evening. I am surprised that any restaurant would serve a filet like this to a customer and then charge 56 CHF. It should have been used in a stir-fry or goulash instead. I look forward to visiting the Dorfli again, but will definitely not be having their steak.

Good honest food for lunch with the fixed menu, if you ask, they will send you daily the menu. The value for Zurich is good, with a starter and main course included. The food is local and tasty and very good quality. Service is excellent, Mirko and team do a great job. Easy to get to by car and plenty of parking. A nice gem outside the city. Had many business lunches here as well as the odd Friday treat with my son.

This is a small but fine eatery in Küsnacht right next door to the famous “von Burg” bakery. The menu is typically Swiss with three specials of the day for lunch. The service is friendly and very fast. Everything is cooked fresh daily. The restaurant specializes in various varieties of veal cordon bleu, but everything is good and perfectly cooked. This is not a Temple for fine food, although the chef certainly has the talent. Rather the concept is to serve perfectly cooked and tasty food at a reasonable price. The Swiss version of the Paris corner bistro where the hungry can go for a wholesome meal with a touch of class.

Nice swizz restaurant. Good for Sunday lunch. Loved the Wiener schnitzel. Friendly service. We had a great time.
