Spiro's Gyros - Ukiah

I love the falafel here (it is vegan.) I order the falafel salat or the falafel pita without feta, no tzatziki, add tahini and oliven. their fries are also really good (but I never asked what else is cooked in the frit.) spiro is fun and friendly. it is always a pleasure to visit its small load.

Felafel, hummus and aubergines-Pita sandwiches are available. great salads they have to do with felafel and auberginen. they are happy, veganize by the subbing tahinni for tzatiki sauce or feta.

After a long camping trip, we stopped here and got a falafel gyro, fries and dolmas. It was so friggin good, we got another gyro, this time lamb. It was also beyond delicious. And the service was personable, friendly and welcoming! We saw that this was the case with everyone that came in to pick up orders. When we were done, we ordered a few small things to go and chatted with the owner a bit. As we were leaving, we realized it was just past closing time, yet we never felt rushed or treated like we were a nuisance for being there at closing time. In fact, it was the complete opposite! What an amazing find; authentic, delicious food that’s reasonably priced AND incredible customer service.
