I can't say enough good about this spotSuper good food and genuinely cool people running the place.

Walked for 1.5 km to get here and it was worth it We got the crab meat Benedict The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bread was so good.

This place was amazingWhile in Sydney, my boyfriend and I stayed near Central station.

I love red velvet & have been meaning to try this café for ages – finally made my way there & unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. Really disappointed as the food was below average & I was excited to share the experience with my daughter.Drinks: The red velvet latte was quite nice, but the hot taro latte tasted like an artificial sweet milky drink. Let’s just say that I have tried it & don’t think I will be ordering either again. I ended up sticking to something safe & ordered a flat white nextFood: We both ordered the red velvet waffles. Like a previous reviewer accurately summed up, it looks better than it tastes. Yes, the dishes are very ‘instagrammable’ but the taste really let it down. I ordered the banana with Nutella - my dish was served with half a banana sliced length ways, accompanied with about 10 (too many!) marshmallows & a small jug of Nutella sauce to drizzle. The waffles were soft, but I wouldn’t say that there was a distinct red velvet flavour to it.My daughter ordered the candied bacon with maple syrup – what she got was a thick slab of pork belly which was gelatinous, soft & chewy (see photo), dry & NOT candied bacon as described on the menu. The look of disappointment on her face said it all – how can anyone think that this is a good accompaniment to waffles??The dishes were pricey for what we ordered.In summary, I can say that I have been & have tried it for myself & unfortunately I won’t be returning or recommending to anyone. I wish I had read reviews before going :-(

The Local MBassy is a great cafe with all round fantastic food. Their breakfast treats are heavenly as well as their amazing variety of hot and cool drinks. Another great thing about this cafe is the staff who are so kind and friendly. This cafe makes you feel so welcome and they truly care about your dining experience.
