Írjon visszajelzéstI had a delightful dining experience at the contemporary artonnittiosju restaurant, situated in the Elite Hotel Mimer in Umea, Sweden. The menu showcases local dishes and offers the option to order half portions for a wider variety of selections. The food was prompt and well-prepared. There is a diverse wine list and a fully stocked bar. The prices were fair. My server was amiable, though slightly inexperienced. The hotel's breakfast is served in the same area, an addition to the charming converted schoolhouse structure. There may also be additional outdoor seating that I did not explore.
My friends and I pre-ordered a 6-course tasting menu at this restaurant, and our experience was reminiscent of a scene from Kitchen Nightmares. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We waited a long time before the first dish, a mushroom dumpling, was brought to our table. We also ordered wine pairings, but canceled it when the first wine, a heavy-bodied red, was not suitable for a starter. The waitress seemed clueless about the wine she was serving. While we waited, we watched as other tables received multiple dishes. The fourth dish, reindeer, was undercooked and not warm. We spoke with the chef, who admitted the tasting menu was improvised and the wine pairings unplanned. He mentioned the tasting menu should have been done in 2 hours, but it took us more than 2 and a half hours to get to the fourth dish. The reindeer was recooked and still unappetizing, so we asked for the next dish. The catfish was not fresh, raw, and wet inside, so we returned it and went straight to dessert. The waitstaff did not communicate what we were eating and often seemed confused about the number of dishes served. Overall, the service was unprofessional both in the kitchen and the dining room.
The breakfast at this restaurant is delicious with a variety of options available. It was observed in the evening that the restaurant is newly established.
A young and ambitious chef and staff present a lovely menu with very fine compositions. The kitchen skill is superb, a joy to see. Service warm and friendly, relaxed. I had dinner there a few times, most memorable is the crevasse soup and their version of The Mac a home made sausage with mustard and different vegetables. A great plus is that you can have all dishes as full or half, the latter is recommended since it allows you to combine more from this very competent kitchen. Mid rage prices, excellent value. A joy to visit this fine restaurant.
Not that extensive menu (maybe summer menu? but it's a perfect concept, you can order all the dishes half or full portion, very nice wines and other beverages. Contemporary dishes. Friendly efficient service despite the fact that it was a lot of guests and lack of staff, the waitress did a excellent job and was very pleasant. Lovely setting but a bit noisy in certain parts.
