Malala Restaurang Ab - Umea

I was surprised to find this little restaurant close to the central station with such good food and for a cheap price. Definitely a restaurant I can recommend!

I was searching for genuine Pakistani cuisine and I found it here. The food tasted just like what you would find in Pakistan. It was full of flavor and had the perfect amount of spice. I highly recommend this restaurant!

As soon as I walked into the restaurant, the friendly owner greeted me with a big smile. I instantly felt welcomed and was given a tour of the delicious menu. The food was amazing and left me wanting to return again. I highly recommend this place.

I've always been fond of Paki food, but this was truly something else. Excellent experience through and through, and I have absolutely no complaints. As for the food, it was truly expectional. I had a platter of eight small dishes (totally vegan), and each and every one left me wanting more and in fact, the owner does offer refills on each of the stews in your order. The only reason I didn't accept the offer was because I knew I'd stuff myself until I felt ill if I did. And then we have the dining experience, which was just top tier. The owner came out and described each of the dishes on our platters, came by and asked what we thought about the food, and was so totally genuine that I'd have been happy regardless of the quality of the food. And yet, the food surpassed even the dining experience. All in all, I would say this might be the best restaurant I've been to in... well, I don't know how long. If you're going to check out a single restaurant in Umeå, make it this one.

Malala restaurant offers Pakistani cuisine and is beautifully decorated, located across from the Umeå train station. The lunch service is buffet style, but the selection is quite limited. The buffet features chickpea salad, eggplant and salmon in a red sauce, paratha bread, and white basmati rice. The basmati rice had a pleasant aroma, was visually appealing, and tasted delicious. Coffee and tea are included with the meal, but no cookies were offered. The lunch costs 98SEK, which is typical for restaurants of a similar caliber in Umeå. Overall, Malala restaurant provides a pleasant atmosphere and reasonably priced Pakistani cuisine with limited options. This review is based on my personal experience.
