Wandee Thai Restaurant - UMINA BEACH

I love Thai food, so I decided to order takeaway from a restaurant with 30 years of experience as an international cook. I ordered Tom Kha Gai soup with coconut base and seafood, as well as Pad See Ew flat rice noodles. Unfortunately, the Tom Kha Gai soup was overly sweet and lacked the authentic Thai flavor. Despite attempting to improve the taste with Tabasco sauce, it did not help. The Pad See Ew was also disappointing, as it was too sweet and the noodles were not fresh and lacked elasticity. To make matters worse, my wife and I received two desserts instead of our main dishes.

We had a reservation at 6:30 p.m. on a busy Saturday night. Our food arrived at the table within 5-10 minutes of ordering and was fresh and delicious. We ordered four meals and all of them were fantastic. This is one of the best Thai restaurants we have ever dined at. We highly recommend it!

The food was fantastic. All of the dishes we ordered to go were delicious, including the duck pancakes, bark panang curry, and spicy Thai fried rice. The restaurant appeared clean and cozy, and the staff was friendly and efficient. We would definitely return in the future.

0. I went to the restaurant and was told that they would be with me in a second. about 10 minutes. So just left. it was later said that I had luck that I didn't get any food there because it's...not good.

Friday night dinner for daughter’s 45th birthday, during COVID. Easy to book a table. Service was great. Staff very friendly. Food was really delicious the chili basil pork was fantastic, but the BBQ’d king prawns, were awful. They were huge, but they were dry,...tough and tasteless. They had been split down the back, but had not been peeled or deveined, so the bowl had been split open and grit was spread through the meat. Very disappointing. Choose something else. Hot dishes larb especially, were VERY hot.
