Frog Pond - Union City

Disappointed. I finally got to come to the frog pond restaurant this year, my family couldn't afford to take us growing up. The employees barely acknowledge you, it smells bad, looks dirty. I didn't even want to finish my drink. Got really bad vibes. When the place finally opened the beach the slide was fun. 1 star for that. They can't find lifeguards to work so it's never open.

Our server did the best she could. The kitchen, on the other hand, did not. Our food took about an hour or so. An order of 10 wings came out with 8 (was still charged for 10), a different order of wings tasted like grease not butter and garlic. As the food was finally delivered, we were told that they ran out of the food that we ordered for our kids. (That would of been nice to know before the rest of the food was brought out). Very bad experience! The owner/manager did not even come to our table to explain or try to make things right. They left that to the poor server. I worked in the hospitality business for over 16 years and would be completely embarrassed if I ever worked for this restaurant.

Me and my group of friends (we are all 16 and have jobs to help pay for cars and other things) we don?t have much spare money but we decided to support the local business and pay the 14 dollar fee to ride one slide. then it rained and we all rode about once or twice and they closed it because of weather. and being responsible teens we asked for a refund and the ?big man? kept walking away and saying it wasn?t his problem and he didn?t control the weather. basically acting like we were human beings he was being rude about it.

The waitress was nice but overworked, I guess. Things were very slow and the food was only so so. The place just generally feels tired.

They are open! We got to enjoy a drink in a cool place while enjoying a beautiful view on the lake. Pontoon boats were everywhere. Will be going back to eat, and enjoy the beach. Fair prices on drinks. Friendly workers! That's a bonus.
