Wood N' Hog Barbecue - Urbana

Bland. No seasoning Whatsoever, nothing. Nada. I kinda was expecting it so I ordered with the sauce. MISTAKE. The sauce was plastered all over the fries, what a mess and it was flavorless as well, very tangy; made the chicken soggy or maybe was like that from the beginning? Who knows. The mac and cheese has a questionable flavor, not sure what cheese they used or milk. Probably the worst mac and cheese I have ever eaten. I?m left confused, speechless, and hungry. Had to

Portions were large and wonderful. Hubby said rib tips were meaty and tender, he thoroughly enjoyed them. My pulled pork sandwich was awesome, meat had really good flavor. And the jerk wings? To die for, large smoked wings with great flavor. Don?t miss out on this !!!

Decent meat at good prices. Better fries than the other local bbq places. Pulled pork sandwich had nice big chunks of meat.

We went to the restaurant on a weeknight when they had only a handful of other customers and ordered to go at the counter. Our jumbo rib tips were just a waste of money. More than 1/3rd of the meat was inedible fat and gristle. I 'm being kind at the 1/3rd estimate. The turkey was very good but they do not put BBQ sauce on the meat. They put fries on top of the meat and then put ALL of the sauce on the fries. Had we known this, we would have declined the fries. The sauce is very good but, again, useless when you have to swab the fries to get it on your choice of meat.The baked beans were good and made soft the way I like them, but they are clearly from a can. My wife loved the cornbread so I gave her mine after two bites because I don 't think it had any cornmeal in it. It was just a dense yellow cake that tasted like dessert. I 've been fortunate to have BBQ and cornbread from every state in the south. This was very disappointing.

Great food, good portions and their sauce is delicious.
