This place has been very unfairly maligned in previous reviews, which I note are all more than 3 years out of date. Today, I have nothing but good things to say about this place: 1. Fast, genuinely friendly service 2. The most delicious cappuccinos in the area 3. Their home made honey walnut cake is simply to die for 4. Beautiful location amazing views from the terrace, which is also very dog friendly

1. Service: very stressed, unhappy staff. 2. Food: soup tastes like full of msg, salad with watery sauce, over fried fish tastes like as if it is from the rotten river (tastes so bad I won't be able to eat fish for a while . 3. Highlight: dark inside but the restaurant owner refused to switch on the light because he/she thinks the light is enough from the outside (in the rainy day... 4. Spent almost 200chf but they did not accept the credit card. Only Cash! I wish I could write a better review but I can't. If anyone passes here by and hungry or thirsty, please drive a bit further for a Kiosk. I see many negative experiences here since long time but can't believe they are still running business (probably because of its location there . I went there because other restaurants were overbooked and was invited and did not see the review.

The restaurant is in a castle by River Linth. The restaurant entrance is not so obvious as you need to walk into the castle building and turn left where is another door of the restaurant . We are there 3 times already and all are for eating the fried chicken. It was freshly cooked and served with creamy sauce. It is always very hot and I must start eating it with knife and fork. Then, I usually change to use my hands to tear off the meat and skin as I see it is the best way to eat a whole chicken. The skin is always thin and crispy with light coating of herbs and chilli. Certainly I will return and recommend others to eat the fried chicken.

Ich verstehe die schlechten Bewertungen nicht. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung freundlich, kompetent und aufgestellt.

Unfreundliche Bedienung, nehmen ausserdem keine Karte. Zusätzlich sind die Preise relativ hoch für das gebotene. Danke aber nein danke
