Hotel Dravidar - Vailankanni

The hotel is located right on the spot- on the most happening place in Velankanni. Good stay with basic facilities. The basilica is just a stone-throw away. But the problem is the parking. You've to use the church parking which is mostly full in nearby location and during the rush-times it's impractical to move out at your will because you may not be able to get back at all. But if you are a large group and are going with a professional driver in a mini-van kind of vehicle I would recommend you to stay here.

Good restaurant for vegetarian and non vegetarian food. easily accessible by road, and rail. For those who love to stay, booking is good for rooms

Excellent South Indian food, we visited Dravidar for Lunch. We had to wait a bit for seating, but eventually got a table. Food was fresh, excellent fish curry and fried fish. Great service too. Staff are friendly and service minded.

Nothing great about this place. fish curry gravy was good. but fish in gravur was raw and still smells. but anyway, all restaurants in velankanni have been serving under-average eating for years. to expect nothing better.

I am from Mumbai and recently stayed in Dravidar for 3 days. This hotel is the closest to the church and offers excellent services. I was very pleased with the attentive service provided by Leon, a staff member there. Whenever we needed anything, it was promptly taken care of. The food was delicious and the hygiene standards were top-notch. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on their faces, creating a positive atmosphere in the hotel.
