The food is excellent, but comes with a higher price tag. I chose the pan-fried sea bream, which was delicious but priced at £27, which may be considered expensive. It came with a seafood cassoulet, which was also tasty but the portions were not very generous. The 'shoe string potatoes' that accompanied the dish were not to my liking; I would have preferred standard chips to fill out the plate more. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, the pub is worth a visit, but be prepared to spend more than you would at a typical pub for lunch.
A relaxing Boxing Day experience. Front of house was friendly and professional, no hassle experienced over the unavoidably late show of one diner and helpful explanation of the vegan options available to another. Food was delicious, reasonably priced, and service prompt, especially considering how deservedly busy they were.
Christmas lunch was so so good. Expertly cooked; the warm duck salad and my wife’s deep fried goats cheese starters were perfect, the roast turkey with a crispy skin and all the trimmings main couldn’t have been better and then followed by the Christmas Pudding for me and the spiced poached apple for the wife to round the meal off perfectly. We had an excellent table and we were so well looked after by the front of house team. Mid week lunches are always good and this special one was simply amazing. Thanks Owain, Luke and your team.
We visited the Plough as a group of six for Sunday lunch. We were really impressed with the food delicious. Kudos to the bar manager as well. He was really welcoming and has great charisma. We'll certainly be back.
We recently visited The Plough, and everything was perfect. Amazing food, great pub and an amazing beer garden. Would 100% recommend, and will be returning soon
